A variety of promotional activities are being conducted in Mali with consumers, cooks and farmers.

First Smart Food Master Class in Mali

Smart Food at the International Agricultural Fair (Siagri) in Bamako, Mali

About 120,000 visitors of which 6,000 from the agricultural or related sector visited the exhibit stall. Also Dr Nango Dembele, Minister of Agriculture of Mali, visited Smart Food Mali exibit stall and expressed his support to the campaign. Smart Food Mali was interviewed by Mali National Television and it was broadcasted in the country most important new session.

During SIAGRI, Smart Food Mali organized a Seminar on Monday 07 May. The seminar highlighted the SmartFooMali campaign initiative (by Agathe Diama), Food Safety with emphasis on integrated aflatoxin management in crops (by Dr. Keita Djeneba Konate, responsible of ICRISAT-Mali Pathology Lab) and Mr. Cheick Diarra (Agri-business specialist). This event was organized thanks to Spirit Mcann and the National Permanent Assembly of Agriculture (APCAM).

Smart Food Mali also attended many business meetings with national and international companies including the Banque Nationale de Développement Agricole du Mali (Mali first agricultural development Bank), Agro-tropics, Malitel (Telecoms), Action contre la Faim, Africa Invest, Sahel Infusion, Institut of Applied Sciences (University of Bamako) and many more.
