Started in 2015, Monsoon Harvest was born out of a simple idea of providing contemporary food products using millets. The company strive to provide everyday foods that nurtures, and sustains us and our environment around us. Monsoon Harvest provides contemporary snacks such as nutrition bars, cookies and granola made with millets such as Ragi (finger millet), Jowar (sorghum), Bajra (pearl millet) and Oats.
Their FSSAI licensed manufacturing facility is located in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. They also provide private label manufacturing for various brands and labels across India and the world.
“There are a couple of products that we are bringing to By Hand, From the Heart. The first is our toasted millet muesli, and the second is our newest addition, buttermilk and millet crackers. The muesli is a great way to start your day… We have four variants – Cranberry & Almond;Roasted Cacao Bean& Raisin; Dark Chocolate & Orange Peel; and Fig & Honey with Salted Pistachios. The buttermilk and millet crackers will be launched at the By Hand, From the Heart. They will come in four flavors:Cracked Black Pepper; Fennel; Onion; and Roasted Garlic. The crackers are a great pairing for cheese, dips and an amazing base for canapés. Sethuram looked for something local to channel his passion for food. After running his father’s industrial vacuum cleaner business for a few years, Sethuram found his answer in millets in 2015. “I knew they grew well in and around Coimbatore. Millets are pestresistant and easier to grow.” So the former techie set out to make contemporary and tasty products out of the coarse grains. “Coimbatore gave us an advantage from a production standpoint due to easier access to raw materials and equipment.” ..
